Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. We will provide you with the necessary WiFi password after you have confirmed your booking.
We can arrange delivery of lunch to the Rooms, so long as it is pre-ordered in advance. For formal meals and gatherings, we can provide you with a list of recommended catering companies who are happy to supply an event at the Loyd Lindsay Rooms. Our kitchen is available to hire for an additional fee – please ask.
No, our insurance does not cover bouncy castles.
Due to past experience and the potential for damage to the property, we regret that we no longer take bookings for 18th and 21st birthday parties.
It is normally the responsibility of the person making the booking to set up and tidy away tables, chairs and any other equipment.
We ask that you leave the venue as you found it, in a clean and tidy condition – we may have other events happening the same day. This also applies if you hire the kitchen as part of your booking – the additional cleaning fee that you pay is to cover our professional cleaning costs, but we stipulate that you leave the kitchen in a clean and tidy condition.
We allow 15 minutes before each booking, to give you time to get in the door and – for smaller events – get set up. For example, if you have booked the hall for 10:00 – 11:00am, you may arrive any time after 09:45am.
You must leave the premises a maximum of 15 minutes after your booking finishes. For example, if you have booked the hall for 10:00 – 11:00am, you must leave by 11:15am.
There is a keypad system for entry to the Rooms. You will be provided with an access code, which will remain active for the duration of your booking and allow you to access the building independently.
Possibly – although of course this depends on what other bookings we have on the day of your event. If you require exclusive access to the building, you will need to book the venue as a whole. Please ask for prices.
